This week, the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance is posting about Tangerine (Revell, January 2007) by Marilynn Griffith (fellow CFBA member, blogger, writer, and mother of *GULP* seven!)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Marilynn Griffith is wife to a deacon, mom to a tribe and proof that God gives second chances. Her novels include Made of Honor (Steeple Hill, Jan. 2006), Pink (Revell, Feb. 2006), Jade (Revell, June 2006), and If the Shoe Fits (Revell, 2007). Her other credits include Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman’s Soul, Cup of Comfort Devotionals and her Shades of Style series (Revell, 2006). She lives in Florida with her husband and children. To book speaking engagements or just say hello, email: marilynngriffith@gmail.com.
Tangerine is the third book in the Shades of Style Novels.
Fans of Pink and Jade will eat up Tangerine, the third book in the cutting-edge Shades of Style series. Jean Guerra, a designer at Garments of Praise design firm, doesn't like surprises. These days though, the unexpected meets her everywhere. Since Jean's return to the church a year ago, her God-encounters occur with increasing frequency, along with thoughts of her husband-the one she vowed to divorce and gave up on long ago. The one nobody at work knows about, not even her best friend, Lily, or her boss, Chenille. But when the designer assigned to work with Jean on a line of men's suits shows up, her heart flips. It's her husband, Nigel Salvador. Jean is finally rendered speechless. Can her bruised heart become whole enough to love again? Or will she remain in the trenches of loneliness forever?

This is Hannah Bevills, Editor for Christian.com which is a social network made specifically for Christians, by Christians, to directly fulfill Christian's needs. We embarked on this endeavor to offer the ENTIRE christian community an outlet to join together as one (no matter denomination) and better spread the good word of Christianity. Christian.com has many great features aside from the obvious like christian TV, prayer request or even find a church/receive advice. We have emailed you because we have interest in collaborating with you and your blog to help us spread the good word. I look forward to an email regarding the matter, Thanks!
God Bless

Thank you for the invitation. Actually the people you really want would be CFRB, that's the Christian Fiction Review Blog, co-founded by myself and author Jackie Moore. Our vision is to spread the Gospel through works of Christian fiction and we generally look for works that are overlooked by major publishers and other blogs. We've found some amazing literature out there that isn't getting the exposure it needs. CFRB hopes to supply that exposure. I will check out your site and see if it's something I can handle. Things are really tough as I'm writing and managing blogs at the same time. I'm on ShoutLife, FaceBook, LinkedIn, Grouply, Shelfari, and even our own church group's page. The email is overwhelming sometimes. I pray that God would give you great success as you endeavor to lift up the name of Jesus.
SPECIAL NOTICE: THAT $5.99 PRICE (WHICH I THOUGHT WAS GOING TO BE RATHER PERMENANT)IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THE BOOK NOW SELLS FOR $24.95 AT PUBLISHAMERICA (BUMMER). YOU CAN STILL PURCHASE AN AUTOGRAPHED COPY FOR $20 AT http://sonburst.webs.com SORRY FOR ALL OF YOU WHO CAME LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEAL ONLY TO FIND THE TIME HAD PASSED. David Brollier
Wow! It's nice that they lowered the price of your book! However, I've heard that Publish America has over-priced lots of authors books in the past!
Cecelia, please realize that that $5.99 price was for one weekend only. I was able to get it lowered to $12.95 for a PAperback (not softcover) and $14.95 for a hard cover. You may not be able to find both of those, however. It's a beef I have with PA. If you'd rather not buy from them, that's fine. I hope to find a new publisher for my next novel. I may even go self-publish, but I'm basically looking into small pubs and indies.
David, your book looks good, but a blogger is correct that Publish America tends to overprice their books. Please don't get discouraged if your sales aren't great. However, talking them into $12.95 for paperback is good. I didn't know they'd permit that. Hang in there as a writer. You can succeed. -Dr. Steve Fortosis http://www.editingfactory.org
